Nairobi National Park, known as “The World’s Wildlife Capital”, is the only National Park in the world located within a city. Located just a few minutes from the CBD, it is home to a variety of animals including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, baboon, zebra giraffes and diverse bird-life with over 400 species recorded. The skyscrapers of Nairobi can be viewed from park, and it is a breathtaking view you would not want to miss! The park also has picnic sites, three campsites and the walking trails for hikers.
Established in 1946, it was the first national park in Kenya and remains the only one in the world located within a capital city’s borders. The park covers an area of 117 square kilometers and is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and rhinos.
