Uganda Safari
Depart from Kampala early morning and proceed South-western part of the country via Kampala-Masaka road with a stopover at the Equator for photos and water experiment. We have a lunch break en route in Mbarara with an option of visiting the Igongo cultural center to experience the Ankole culture. Thereafter proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park through the savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns arriving at the Park in the evening. Travel time is about 7 – 8 hours.

Early morning breakfast followed by guide briefing and then set off for your gorilla tracking in the forests of Bwindi. Trekking time in unpredictable, it may last only 3 hours or up to 8 hours or more of the day sometimes with rain overhead so be prepared with sturdy hiking boots, waterproof jacket. This Park is best known for the fascinating gorillas, where the time taken to find them and terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. Though the time spent to track down these Gorillas is unpredictable, the thrill of spending time and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience.
The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they play and interact. You will have packed lunch and drinking water for this trekking.For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants. In the evening, you can opt to proceed to the village for a cultural walk to interact with the local people. Participate in captivating traditional performances presented by Women’s groups or orphan children groups. Note that the fees you pay for these performances go directly to improve the welfare of families around the park.

Have an early breakfast and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha. The travel time is about 4-6 hours. A game drive en-route will reward you with views of Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. Enjoy the unique evening 2-hour launch cruise on Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. The trip passes through the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. The launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track and Queens mile in the park and expect to see Lions, Elephants, Cape buffalo, Warthogs, leopard, hyena, mangoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, Topi and lots of many small animals and birds. After the game drive, have lunch en route as you depart for Kampala. Travel time is about 7-9 hours.
