LAKE ELEMENTAITA SERENA CAMP

Lake Elementeita Serena Luxury Camp is uniquely situated on the shoreline of sapphire-blue Lake Elementaita where hundreds of thousands of birds congregate, the small and exclusive Lake Elementeita Luxury Camp enjoys an area of breathtaking beauty, also home to many rare species of animals and is less than two hours’ drive from Nairobi. The Lake Elementeita Luxury Camp is located within Soysambu Wildlife Conservancy in the Great Rift Valley. By road: the camp is 135 km from Nairobi on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. By air: there is an airstrip beside the camp for private or chartered flights. The Lodge has 24 luxury tents all with views of the Lake Elementaita. Each tent is tastefully furnished with its own private verandah. Tent facilities include telephone, wireless internet, mini-bar and electronic safe. Also within its vicinity is the Flamingo suite -An additional luxury suite with a spacious lounge, Jacuzzi and prime lake view. LAKE ELEMENTAITA SENTRIM LODGE

Sentrim Elementaita Lodge is located at the shores of Lake Elementaita along the Nairobi - Nakuru Highway, 120 km from Nairobi, Kenya. It is also a short distance from Gilgil town. Sentrim Elementaita Lodge is the place for those seeking an exquisite getaway on the shores of Lake Elementaita. The entirely new lodge is spread out in serene surroundings. You will feel your nerves quiet down as soon as you set your eyes on the lodge’s rich view of flamingo and pelican fringed Lake Elementaita. Sentrim Elementaita consists of 84 furnished guest rooms. The rooms are classified as follows: 10 deluxe cottages, 32 ground floor standard cottages, 16 upper floor standard cottages, 4 family houses each with two bedrooms and 18 standard rooms beneath the conference rooms. All the rooms are very well equipped for your entertainment, convenience, comfort and security. Meeting/ conference rooms are also readily available and are well equipped with projectors, sound systems, and WIFI internet connection among others.

SLEEPING WARRIOR LODGE & CAMP, ELEMENTAITA

Sheltering in the lee of the vast volcano known to some as ‘Delamere’s Nose’, and to others as ‘The Sleeping Warrior, lies a stretch of virgin Africa unchanged since the dawn of time. A lilting volcanic landscape that laps the shores of Lake Elementaita, this 48,000-acre private estate has remained as pristine as when it was first founded in 1906, by one of Kenya’s most colorful pioneers, the charismatic Lord Delamere’s, whose descendants still farm the land. At its heart, lies the 20,000-acre Soysambu Conservancy, which only opened to the public in 2008, thus allowing access to one of the last great Kenyan safari frontiers. The Sleeping Warrior Eco Lodge opened its doors in 2012. The Lodge stands high on a volcanic hill known as Mawe Mbili (Two Stones). Commanding stunning views over the private Soysambu Conservancy towards UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lake Elementaita, it was designed and built by the Damon family and is run by Jacqueline Damon. On top of the hill stands the stone-built reception, lounge and dining room, below which is a stone terrace with fire-pit, a safari bar and extensive landscaped gardens. Below, a track snakes through the acacia to the landscaped terraces where the ten wide-spaced natural stone cottages look out across an addictive view of Africa as she used to be. Kidney-shaped, and thickly thatched, each features an impeccably presented net-draped bed, a seating area, bathroom and outshot deck.

Accessible to guests, is an infinity pool overseeing the magnificent landscape of the conservancy and a bar for refreshments. The Sleeping Warrior Eco Lodge welcomes children of all ages. Special children’s meals & activities, including baby-sitting, can be provided .he Sleeping Warrior Eco Lodge is powered entirely by solar electricity. The water is heated by sustainably harvested Leleshwa wood, gathered by the Turkana in areas serving as fire breaks. The majority of the furniture is made from re-cycled cedar poles, once used for fencing on the colonial ranch.

SUNBIRD LODGE, LAKE ELEMENTAITA

Set on 55 acres (22 ha) on private land (no park or conservancy fees) between Nakuru and Gilgil, Sunbird Lodge is named after one of the more than 450 species of birds in this area. Beautifully nestled in a pristine environment above Lake Elementaita (RAMSAR and World Heritage Site) one can experience amazing sunsets.  It is a very small and exclusive lodge, but still affordable with 14 very spacious en-suite cottages and with a huge private veranda. All with a king size bed and an additional single bed, exquisitely built with natural materials and thatched roofs. Enjoy an unspoilt view over Lake Elementaita and Soysambu Conservancy. It has been voted the most scenic place to stay in the Nakuru area. The restaurant with a fantastic view and big sliding glass doors seats approximately 35 people comfortably and serves a buffet breakfast. Lunch and dinner is a la carte menu.

Our experienced chefs will prepare mouthwatering meals! Two fire places will keep you warm and spreads a romantic atmosphere. You can also enjoy a pleasant outdoor dining experience under the stars (weather permitting) overlooking the swimming pool and Lake Elementaita/Soysambu Conservancy. The bar & lounge, with an open fire place, is well stocked with local as well as imported beverages. In this area, the Lodge provides free Wi-Fi for all our guests.

LAKE ELEMENTAITA LODGE

When you visit Lake Elementaita in the Great Rift Valley, the first impression you have is of profound serenity and the singing of the birds only adds to the ambience of harmony. The lake area sees very few visitors on your safari vacation in magical Kenya as most of the lake is privately owned. This comfortable lodge is ideal for the budget conscious traveler, and having been originally built in 1916 as the home of Lord Galbraith Cole, it minimally retains adequate quaint charm of the colonial era. It is laid out in 100 acres of beautifully arranged gardens with paved walkways and bougainvillea adding a riot of color to the green of the grass and trees. Guests traveling in East Africa are housed in country-style, red brick cottages with some of them facing the lake. The lodge has 33 rooms with a fireplace with either twin or double beds. Insect netting provides protection from bugs and a little seating arrangement with a flat screen TV adds to the comfort of the room. Every room can accommodate an extra bed or a crib for a child and has a little dresser for your use. The attached bathroom has a satisfactory bathtub the basic amenities typical of a value accommodation and hot water for your showers.

The cottages also have a little patio where you can lounge and revel in the views over the lake or the gardens. The Lodge has an in-house restaurant, Lord Cole, where your meals are served buffet style. You can also order off their menu and they serve a minimal range of African, global and barbecued dishes. Fresh fruit and salad are enjoyable additions to your meals that are cooked with ingredients that have been sourced from surrounding farms. If you prefer, you can have your meals al fresco on the restaurant veranda with sweeping vistas of the lake with varied birds flying over it. You can spend your early mornings at the hot springs of Lake Elementaita. Bird watchers will welcome the opportunity of spotting birds.

PELICAN LODGE, ELEMENTAITA

This exclusive lodge is on the banks of Lake Elementaita along the Naivasha Nakuru highway. It is set on private land overlooking the pelican and pink flamingo filled Lake and hence its name. Its compound brims of well-maintained wild bushes and trees that provide a tranquil environment and a haven for hundreds of birds, which make sweet melody, which is soothing and relaxing for guests. The lodge in Naivasha District between Naivasha town and Nakuru, where one can experience amazing sunsets and bird watching experiences. With the exclusivity of 12 cottages in the lodge (6 doubles / singles & 6 twins); All rooms are en-suite’ with, king size beds, headlights, reading area hairdryers and free Wi-Fi; three of the rooms have an extra an open-air shower. JACARANDA ELEMENTAITA

Built in 1916 by Lord Galbraith Cole a white settler, Jacaranda Lake Elementaita lodge sits on a vast piece of land with a panoramic view of Lake Elementaita. It still retains the features and atmosphere of an early colonial home. The Lodge is approximately 120kms (one hour thirty minutes’ drive by road) from Nairobi and 29kms from Nakuru town. It neighbors the famous Kariandusi pre-historic museum at an altitude of 1670 meters or 4200ft above sea level. With its proximity to Lake Elementaita, which is internationally known for its rich bird life and the only breeding ground for the white pelicans, guests get to enjoy nature walks while watching the more than 4oo species of birds including the famous flamingos. The Lodge has 33 tastefully furnished rooms comprising 12 twin rooms, 10 double rooms and 11 triple rooms and interconnecting rooms suitable for families. All the rooms are fully furnished with bath and shower, satellite TV, mosquito nets, a wardrobe, full length mirror and shaver sockets.
