Queen Elizabeth National Park



Mweya Safari Lodge is located deep in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's premier big game destination. Jacana safari lodge is suited in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It’s positioned at the periphery of Uganda’s biggest Crater Lake with a tree house lodge. The fragile use of rocks, ropes, wood, natural furniture blend well with the sweet melodies of the tropical hardwood forest. Ishasha Wilderness Camp  is located in the unvisited part of Queen Elizabeth Park along the Ntungwe River and from here you can explore the vast Ishasha Plains, visit the tree climbing lions of Ishasha, and see an abundance of wildlife.  It is in of Queen Elizabeth Park where you can spot the elusive shoebill stork all in the quietness of the unvisited part of Queen Elizabeth Park along the Ishasha Plains. Ishasha Wilderness Camp is a remarkable spot, where you have a genuine Wilderness experience along the Ntungwe River. The camp comprises 10 tents, so the setting is small and intimate…there are no crowds. The  Camp is simply an experience in the African Bush along the Ntungwe River in luxury’ style and comfort that brings Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp to another level when it comes to lodging in Uganda. The tents, the rooms are all en-suite done in a most elegant fashion and the furnishings bring luxury with the guests in mind. The food is superb, surprising guests about what can be prepared in the middle of the African Wild and weather permitting you can take your meals outdoors and along the river watching elephants and hippos while you have breakfast, lunch or dinner.


Hippo Hill camp is well known to be a lavish camp located within the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It was opened in 2006 and it’s more positioned in the shield zone of the park-Katwa town. The safari in Uganda camp was constructed on the hill providing a magnificent view of Kitako as well as Kabazimu Islands. This park is enclosed by Lake Edward, Katwe salt Lake along with Munyanyange Crater Lake. It’s surrounded with large concentrations of Hippos, buffaloes, Flamingos and other wildlife. The accommodation is well set with about ten lavishness tents with personal ensuite facilities such as bathrooms and toilets. The tents are well designed to provide comfort and a peaceful setting to enjoy the night.  Facilities include a well stocked bar with a perfect view of Lake Albert, dining area with both international and local cuisines and camp fire that is liked by all visitors.


Kyambura safari Lodge is an eco-lodge at the eastern edge of Queen Elizabeth National Park, in the western part of the great East African Rift valley. The place has spectacular views over the national park and the Rwenzori Mountains of the moon and at a short distance from the famous Kyambura Gorge. Lodging is provided in seven spacious and tastefully designed self-contained grass-thatched cottages, with bath tabs/showers, running hot and cold water, with 220v electricity and a private wooden balcony perched over Queen Elizabeth wildlife Park. Facilities and services include a restaurant and bar, lounge, local and international cuisine, swimming pool, privates balcony, hot and cold running water.


Bush Lodge Tented Camp at is located just outside of Queen Elizabeth National Park, centrally located overlooking Kazinga Channel  which is a natural body of water connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. Wildlife abounds and you can see lots of it just from the convenience of your porch. Accommodation comprises of 6 Units), all self contained. Each Tented Unit has the novelty of dual shower heads for its guests and you can take a shower underneath the stars in the wild-something quite different from your everyday routine! The food is good, and prepared on site by able staff - the service is friendly and accommodating and you are provided for in a capable fashion. The lodge provides the perfect setting for the discerning traveler who wants closeness with nature.


Ishasha Ntungwe river camp is situated in Queen Elizabeth National Park in Western Uganda, offering very affordable and pocket friendly self-contained accommodation with hot water supplies. The accommodation units are two types, two raised tents perched along Ntungwe River and a bit far from the river side other five other luxury tents. All tents provide inspiring views of the Ntungwe River viewed from porches, within where tea or coffee can be served in the mornings and enjoy the prodigious plains of the Ishasha plains. The camp near the Ishasha gaming tracks and in the evening you can enjoy the chattering of the birds, monkey cries and elephant sounds. This lodge offers two dining sections one near the reception area and other by the river banks. The dining near the river banks is not always used as the area is muddy and floods occur during heavy rains. It is  also situated near the elephant trails and you can have spectacular views of the Ntugwe riverine forest canopy. The dining provides mouthwatering menus of both local and international cuisine and there is a well-stocked with variety of drinks. Queen Elizabeth National Park gate is about 3 kms from the camp, home to tree climbing lions.


It is located Western Uganda just outside the Queen Elizabeth National Park at Kichwamba Escarpment ,  with a strategic view of the park. The rooms are clean and spacious, well furnished, mosquito nets.  The Lodge is under German management who has done a good job in putting together this oasis with an African touch.  All food is prepared to order and everything is made from scratch, so it usually takes about 40 minutes or so to get your food. Place your order, give them your room number, and they would inform you when it was ready. You can order an Italian style Pizza from their wood fired oven or eat  in the restaurant, or in your room. If you eat in the restaurant, you have a beautiful view of the park while you eat. There are two swimming  pools , one for and another for adults. This overlooks the park and has a gorgeous view. They are currently constructing a lower, deeper pool that also connects to this pool with a slide, just like the kid's pool. There is an observation deck overlooking the park where you can lay out and get some sun, relax, or sit and watch wildlife (you will want to bring binoculars). The grounds are gorgeous, well landscaped with lots of tropical trees and flowers. Be sure to spend some time watching the local birds, including one large tree near the entrance that is absolutely loaded with weaver birds.


Ihamba Safari Lodge is designed with stones and thatched cottages . The lounge and dining area has a beautiful spot that will make you enjoy your meal. The lodge has a swimming pool that will cool off the heat and still enjoy cocktail served as you enjoy the water. This place will give a magnificent view of Mountain Rwenzori. Besides sleeping, there are others facilities offered such as conference halls as well as internet services to all visitors. Ihamba lodge bar has a beautiful view of the sport events and it’s fully stocked with all kinds of wine. The lodge has beautiful accommodation with comfort and lavishness. There is internet in the lodge and a fully well stocked bar. The rooms are air conditioned with up to date bathrooms and toilets. The dining setting is always of great satisfaction to our visitors. The lodge has a professional wine cellar manager who is good at selecting good wine for the visitors. Besides wine, there are other drinks that you will like. Activities include game drives, bird watching as well as swimming at your own time of leisure.


Twin Lake Safari Lodge is set at the top of the hill overlooking Elizabeth National Park. The Camp is fairly new but the management has been tried and proven over some years at the other facilities that they own. They have created the best budget facility in the area which are self contained. Each room is self contained and has a veranda, and most beautiful views located on the equator.  This has been a favorite amongst budget travelers and those looking for a moderate price full board at Queen Elizabeth Park. The camp offers breathtaking views of the nearby crater lakes. It is the closest accommodation to the Kasenyi Game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park, located just outside of the park. rooms, and if you want to really save money there are the dorm room at a most reasonable rate. The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. Simba Safari Camp is a most welcome addition to the moderate market. It certainly represents one of the best values for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Beds in dormitory such as for backpackers are about 10 usd per night. The food is good and well prepared and full board can be had here. The bar is well stocked with local and international drinks.
